A 41-year-old inebriated man who vomited pizza all over himself and passed out in front of Denny’s restaurant was arrested on criminal trespass and disorderly conduct charges, police said.

Bryson B. Lewis was reported asleep outside Denny’s, 21195 N. John Wayne Parkway, on Feb. 6 at about 4:20 p.m. when he was approached by Richard Fox, who woke him up to check on him.

“(Lewis) woke up, told (Fox) he was a gangster and began telling (Fox) to fight him,” a Maricopa Police probable cause statement said. Then a woman named Donna Nago asked Lewis to leave and he refused.

Police arrived at the scene and saw Lewis was stumbling, unable to keep his balance, slurred his words and smelled of alcohol. Cops said Lewis was “covered in pizza” and “regurgitated food.”

Lewis was uncooperative and repeatedly told officers he was a “gangster.”

He was then taken into custody and faces up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $2,500.
