Readers encouraged by housing prices

The vast majority of the 253 readers responding to this week’s online poll question said they believe housing prices will continue to rise.

Thirty percent, or 75, answered “yes” and it will get event better to the question: “Do you think the recent uptick in housing prices is a trend that will continue?”

Twenty-eight percent, or 71 people, agreed the prices would continue to increase, but at about the same rate. Another 28 percent, or 70 people, agreed prices will rise, but at a lower rate.

Fifteen percent, or 37, said prices will go down.
