Possible storms could blow in on Tuesday and Wednesday, but the forecast calls for sunny skies and high temperatures in the high 60s and mid 70s for the rest of the week.

The summer heat appears to have moved through, and the time of year Arizona residents love to brag about is upon us. According to the National Weather Service, a cold front is moving through the area and dropping temperatures into the 60s. There is a 20 percent chance of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, but the rest of the week should be nearly perfect with sunny skies and warm days near 70 degrees.

Monday is expected to be the only day this week with temperatures above 80 degrees. The forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of 86 degrees. The wind is expected to be calm near 5 mph, and the overnight low should drop near 57 degrees.

Tuesday is expected to start with mostly sunny skies and a high near 74 degrees. In the afternoon, there is a 10 percent chance of rain toward the evening with chances increasing to 20 percent overnight. The overnight low is expected to drop to 59 degrees, and the wind could reach as high as 15 mph.

The storm may linger through Wednesday morning. The forecast currently calls for a 20 percent chance of rain throughout the day, but the chances drop to 10 percent for the evening. The projected high is just 69 degrees, and the overnight low is expected to be 47 degrees with winds remaining calm at 5 mph.

Thursday should see a return to sunny skies, but the high for the day is expected to be just 69 degrees. The winds are once again expected to stay calm, and the overnight low should once again drop to 47 degrees.

Friday is also expected to be a sunny day, but the temperature high is projected to jump to 74 degrees. The wind should remain calm near 5 mph, and the overnight low is expected to stay below 50 degrees.

The weekend is shaping up to be sunny with highs in the mid 70s, but more information will be available as the week comes to a close.
