Name: Clair Van Steenwyk
Age: 65
Occupation: Retired business executive; presently political talk show host
Residence: Buckeye
Family: Wife
Education: Business major
Hobbies: Golf
Favorite quote: John 3:16
Heart’s desire: To restore our Republic
Political experience: I’ve been active in politics for years; have a political talk show that requires a good deal of research of all issues.

Why are you running?

I’m running to restore our country to a Constitutional Republic, which is what it will take to give us back a thriving economy and freedom for all of our citizens. This will also give us the true strength we need to once again be respected by others around the world.

What is your biggest election challenge?

Getting the media and the party to treat all of the candidates equally.

Why should Maricopans vote for you?

I’m a Christian Constitutional Republican and want to restore our nation to a Constitutional Republic. I believe this is the only sure way of restoring both our freedoms and economy, as all the little fixes my opponents talk about won’t work as proven over the years. If the American public truly wants a strong economy and free nation, this is the only way to do it.

Who are you voting for president?

Waiting for Republican Convention to give us one.

What is the greatest challenge facing the country? What would do about it?
1. Our greatest challenge is restoring all of our freedom. 2. Put forth legislation that requires all future and past legislation to be Constitutional or it must be repealed and departments/agencies closed and laws/regulations taken off the books.
