Why are you running?

I believe we are at a crossroads in this country. We will either choose more debt, higher taxes, and an ever intrusive federal government or we will choose lower taxes, less debt and the freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution. I’ve grown up in the district and believe the citizens deserve representation from someone who knows and lives the issues.

What is your biggest election challenge?

Personally reaching each and every voter in the district.

Why should Maricopans vote for you?

I’ve owned my own business and spent several years overseas helping the Iraqi people learn the principles of self government. I was born and raised in the in the district and understand the people who live here. I am committed to promoting and fighting for the interests of the district, not furthering a political career.

Who are you voting for president?

Gov. Mitt Romney

What is the greatest challenge facing the country? What would you do about it?

For the first time in American history, this generation doesn’t believe that the future of America will be better for its children and grandchildren. Americans are mired in doubts about the future. We are concerned about debt and entitlements programs that are unsustainable in their current form. America needs an infusion of hope and vision. By reducing the burdens caused by regulation, taxation and government overreach Americans will individually and collectively take confidence in the American Dream that has been eluding us in recent years.

We will solemnly take our place as the world power instead of apologetically “leading from behind.” By empowering the next generation with the freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution, America will again be the “light of the world.”

What are your plans for immigration reform?

Securing our border is crucial to solving the immigration process. This includes increasing border security in an effort to fight terrorism, drug smuggling and human trafficking. Unlike the current administration, I will not support amnesty of any kind while in Congress. Many people want to immigrate here to make a better life for their families and we should create a system that encourages law-abiding job seekers to do that legally. I will continue to fully support SB1070’s and the state’s power to enforce the laws approved by its citizens.
