Prostate On-Site Project will be in Maricopa 1:30 to 5 p.m. Jan. 14 in the Fry’s parking lot, 20797 N. John Wayne Parkway.

The screening consists of a PSA (prostate specific antigen) non-fasting blood test, digital rectal exam, testicular exam and physician consultation by a board-certified urologist.

The medical mobile service is geared toward men 40 years or older — younger if there’s a family history of prostate cancer. Statistics show that one in six men will get prostate cancer and that survival is nearly 100 percent with early detection.

The Prostate On-Site Project accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Net, Humana and United Healthcare insurance. Specialist co-pay may apply. Cost is $72 for those without insurance.

Appointments are required and available by calling 480-964-3013 or 1-800-828-6139.
