Public Works Advisory Committee will discuss street lighting at Wednesday’s meeting

The issue of street lighting is very complex according to City of Maricopa Public Works Director Bob Jackson. Wednesday’s Public Works Advisory Committee meeting will discuss a street lighting policy to deal with consistency, frequency, safety and security, as well as the effectiveness of lighting already in place in various developments. Various city projects will also be discussed. The agenda follows:

3.1 Project Updates: Staff will provide updates of all city projects including SR 347 grade separation, Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway corridor study, Interim City Hall and City Hall. Discussion.

3.2 Street Lighting. Discuss possible street lighting policy. Discussion.

4.0 Call to the Public

The procedures to follow if you address the Committee are: Committee requests that you express your ideas in five minutes or less and refrain from any personal attacks or derogatory statements about any City employee, a fellow citizen, or anyone else, whether in the audience or not. The Chair will limit discussion whenever he deems such an action appropriate to the proper conduct of the meeting.
