A drop in temperature and a good chance for rain highlights this week’s weather forecast for Maricopa.

Today, Labor Day will be sunny and hot, much like last week. The high is expected to be near 104, according to the National Weather Service. Overnight will be mostly clear, with a low around 72.WTH-icon_sunny

Tuesday, there is a 10-percent chance of rain after 11 a.m. The day will be mostly sunny otherwise, with a high near 100. The chance of showers increases to 30 percent at night, when skies will be mostly cloudy and the low around 73.

Wednesday also holds a 30-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The high expected to be only 93 degrees. The chance for rain will be 40 percent overnight, and the low around 75.

Thursday, the 40-percent chance of rain lingers. The skies will be mostly cloudy with a high of 91. The nighttime chance for showers is 30 percent, mainly before 11 p.m. The low will be around 74.WTH-icon_rain-cloud

Friday is forecast to be mostly sunny with a high near 97, but a 20-percent chance for rain continues and lowers to about 10 percent at night. The overnight low will be 74.

The weekend looks similar, with a slight chance for rain and high temps flirting with triple digits.
