Report: Woman assaults family members in late-night altercation

A Maricopa woman is facing an assault charge after a Sunday morning incident in which she threw a vape pen at her husband, cutting his head.

Late Nov. 20th, a woman was arrested and charged after an alleged attack on her family members.

The suspect, Edie G. Alvarado Olea, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and two counts of disorderly conduct.

According to police documents, at a little after 11 p.m., police arrived on scene and contacted the family of the suspect.

Police say that the family stated the suspect had been drinking and became aggressive towards her sister, and assaulted her “by pulling her hair and ripping a chunk of hair from her scalp.”

Police said that some family members stated the suspect assaulted her aunt by punching her in the face.

According to police documents, when officers tried to speak to the suspect, they determined she was heavily intoxicated and belligerent.

Edie  G. Alvarado Olea was placed under arrest and booked into Pinal County Jail.
