Roadwork to continue this week

Streets in the communities of Rancho El Dorado, The Villages at Rancho El Dorado, Cobblestone Farms and Acacia Crossing were recently crack sealed, and to provide additional protection against deterioration of these streets, application of acrylic seal and slurry seal is required.

Acrylic seal is a thin layer of acrylic that is applied to streets. It provides waterproofing and UV protection, prolonging the life of the street. Slurry seal is thicker than acrylic seal; it is used to seal, correct moderate-to-severe surface wear, oxidation, rutting from tires and will provide additional skid resistance. These seals will significantly extend the life of the pavement by protecting the undersurface from the effects of aging and the environment.

On the scheduled days listed below, streets will have one side barricaded to all traffic; sealing will be applied between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. It is requested that you do not park on the street during work hours, and that trash cans, equipment, or any other items/materials are off of the street.

The new surface should be avoided until barricades are removed; driving on the new surface too soon will result in tracks being left on the surface, and oil from the seal may adhere to your vehicle and to your driveway.

Acrylic sealing will be applied in communities as follows:

    * Acacia Crossing: Monday, June 16
    * Cobblestone Farms: Tuesday, June 17 and Wednesday, June 18
    * Rancho El Dorado: Thursday, June 19 through Tuesday, July 8 (weekdays only)
