Honesty to help us go on

Erwin W. Lutzer has spoken to my heart, in a neat little book, “After you Have Blown It.” He is the senior pastor at the Moody Church in Chicago.

The title of his book, “After You’ve Blown It” was very captivating. Perhaps it caught something in me because I have blown it so many times. Even in these late years, I still need someone to help me look at the mistakes and sins of my past.

In ministry, I tried to help people find peace and a new life. Providing counseling often involved helping people to “get over it.” You can possibly imagine the many times, I have seen real growth come to people who have been able to say, “I’ve blown it.”
