Some bundles of cilantro sold in Arizona are being recalled after the Monterey, California, Health Department found evidence of salmonella contamination.

The recall affects four brands of cilantro, Nature’s Reward, Ocean Mist, Tanimura & Antle and Queen Victoria, sold by California growers between Jan. 14 and Jan. 28.

Although no illnesses have been reported, anyone who has purchased the cilantro is urged to dispose of it right away. If consumers have already eaten any, they should also contact their doctor immediately

Symptoms of salmonella poisoning may include stomach pain, diarrhea, fever, nausea, and vomiting, which can last anywhere from 6-72 hours. More severe illness may also result.
