Retired PGA golfer and current NBC/Golf Channel analyst Notah Begay III hosted clinics for children and adults Saturday morning as part of a weekend event at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes. Begay, a Stanford graduate and four-time winner on the PGA Tour, is the most successful Native American golfer in history. He told participants he was excited to see the development of Native-owned enterprises like those in the Ak-Chin Indian Community. He said any golfer competing at the top level knew about Southern Dunes. He gave participants tips for improving their short game and spoke about his foundation and N7. He also told tales on his long-time friend and college teammate Tiger Woods.
