A Union Pacific train struck a semi-truck on Wednesday morning west of Maricopa.

The truck’s trailer apparently did not have enough clearance crossing over the tracks at North Ralston Road, off State Route 238, and became stuck, police said. A westbound train struck the trailer, which was carrying farm equipment.
