A vehicle rollover Tuesday afternoon near the Veterans Center led to road closures and charges, but no injuries, according to police.

Maricopa Police said at about 3 p.m., a vehicle turned from Desert Greens Drive onto West Smith Enke Road, striking another vehicle that was traveling west.

The westbound vehicle ended up rolling multiple times, police said, and came to a stop on its side, just west of the intersection.

The driver of the second vehicle left the scene before first responders arrived, but was stopped by Maricopa Police shortly after on North Porter Road.

Both drivers were checked for injuries. The driver of the rolled vehicle was uninjured and condition of the second driver were not released. The driver who left the scene had minor injuries.

According to police, the driver who left the scene was cited for several moving and document violations, including failure to yield. Criminal hit-and-run charges are under consideration, and will be decided when the investigation is complete.
