Congratulations are in order for Desert Wind Middle School student Tory Brown and Mr. Craig Shorey, his Social Studies teacher.
Tory's essay was selected by Maricopa's VFW members in response to the organization's "Patriot's Pen" essay contest. Rory's essay was entitled "What I Would Say to the Founding Fathers." Tory will be representing Maricopa as he now competes at the state level.
