The Pinal County Attorney's Office Child Support Division announced a record $21.5 million collected for the benefit of children from non-custodial separated or divorced parents.

The Arizona Volunteer Infantry (precursor to the Arizona National Guard) included mostly Maricopa and Pima Native Americans and their two chiefs, Azul and Chivaria. Their purpose was to restore order to the Arizona Territory.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is in need of funding to purchase rifles to arm our first responders who are charged with protecting our citizens.

Last week a new traffic signal went into operation at Porter and Smith Enke Roads. This traffic signal should greatly improve operations at the three-way stop intersection.

I have reviewed our city code and the structure of our town is simple. The City Council sets policy, and the City Manager works at the will and pleasure of the City Council. However, in our case, it seems to be the other way around.

 

 

This is the start of the state's long-range transportation plan - also called What Moves You Arizona - to bring together all residents, visitors, drivers and anyone else who will need to get around, to create a vision for the future of transportation.

I went on the MUSD site today to check out the bus schedule for the high school. Lo and behold, things have changed! We live in Senita, Phase I. Apparently we are just too close to need bussing to the high school.      

Supervisor David Snider will hold his monthly office hours in Maricopa on Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Maricopa interim City Hall.  

The Primary Election is Aug. 24. In the primary, voters will decide the nominees who will appear on the ballots in November's election.
