Hot weather is expected this weekend in Maricopa as the high could top 112 degrees, though monsoons may be on their way next week.
Today, the temperature could reach 112 degrees with sunny skies expected and winds around 5 to 10 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, the low will be around 83 with winds continuing around 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday, sunny and hot conditions will continue with a high near 111 expected and winds around 5 to 10 mph. At night, the low is expected to be around 83 degrees again with 5 to 10 mph winds.
Sunday, “patchy blowing dust” is expected in the afternoon and before midnight, according to the National Weather Service. The high is expected to be around 108 degrees with sunny skies. At night, the temperature will dip to around 82 with wind blowing around 5 to 10 mph.
Next week, monsoons may be on their way with a chance for showers and thunderstorms around 20 percent for Monday through Wednesday, which are expected to bring high temperatures down slightly to 107 and 109 degrees.
