The Maricopa Rams boys’ soccer team continued its spectacular run Thursday night, knocking off Globe, 14-0.

The team got off to a fast start, scoring five goals in the first quarter and continued the abuse by scoring another nine goals in the second quarter.

The win brings the team to 11-0 on the season with only four games left to be played.

Up next for the Rams is a road game Jan. 20 at Antelope with a 6 p.m. kickoff. The Antelope Rams are one of two teams with a winning record left on the Maricopa Rams’ schedule.

While the boys were successful in their match up, the girls’ team dropped a contest to Antelope, 2-0, on the same night.

“The girls played hard but were not able to pull out a victory,” said boys’ head coach Jack Berg.

Up next for the girls is a Jan. 20 home game against Phoenix Country Day.
