Evan Grace of Maricopa has wrapped up a project through the Governor’s Youth Commission that involved joining Generation On and Hasbro in their Joy Maker Challenge.
For every child that signed up for this challenge, Hasbro donates a toy to Toys for Tots.
The Governor’s Youth Commission chose to get each commissioner to fill a box with toys in their counties to benefit foster care families. Evan, a member of the commission, worked with Christian Family Care Agency to keep the collected toys local with foster care families in Maricopa.
Evan also became aware of Maricopa Unified School District’s Project Hope for students in need, including homeless students. He decided to fill another box to help that project out as well.
He happily delivered his toys to both groups and extended a thank you to the community members who supported the toy drive with donations.
