Is finding a great price on a home worth the trade off in gasoline costs tied to commuting outside of Maricopa?
That’s what television reporter Kathryn Garcia asked at about 4 p.m. today in front of a Channel 15 camera when one of the Phoenix television station’s live trucks hoisted its tower across from the Shell station on North John Wayne Parkway at West Garvey Road.
Some commuters driving past who saw the live broadcast honked or slowed down to take a look.
“It seems like it’s getting bad out there,” Garcia said off camera of how the economy is beginning to affect consumer budgets. “Maybe that’s just because I do stories every day.”
