Chamber marketing meeting June 26

Have you ever wondered what exactly marketing is and how it can help your business? The Maricopa Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a “Marketing 101” seminar June 26 to address these and other related questions. The event is open to the public and will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Global Water’s Rancho El Dorado office at 22590 N. Powers Parkway. The session will be led by Scott Bartle, publisher of inmaricopa.com and 85239 The Magazine, Kathy L. Hall, editor of the Maricopa Monitor, and Renie Scibona, publisher of the Maricopa Connection. The purpose is to help Maricopa small business owners understand the basics of marketing and to identify cost-effective methods of helping them achieve their marketing, sales and public relations objectives. Maricopa Animal Hospital fields new ownership

If your special animal at home needs some tending to, Maricopa Animal Hospital is under new ownership with two veterinarians, more staff and extended hours. Dr. Lora Schelle and Dr. Kelly Anderson are able to serve small animal, equine and pocket pet needs. The hospital is at 19950 N. John Wayne Pkwy, (P.O. Box 129). Community of Hope to collect food

Community of Hope Church will be collecting food to help families in need during The Great American BBQ on July 4 at Pacana Park. The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The donations will be distributed to families around Maricopa. Those donating are asked to choose from the following items: instant potatoes – boxed, peanut butter, canned fruit, canned tuna, canned vegetables, Hamburger Helper/package dinner, dry pasta/rice, beans, canned beans, cereal, canned tomatoes, canned soup, cake mix and canned frosting. There will be a collection point on the northwest side of the soccer field (Allen Stephens Parkway) by the pump house. For further information on the church, visit www.cohmaricopa.com.
