CAC women’s basketball golf tournament set for Sept. 13

The 12th Annual Central Arizona College Women’s Basketball Golf Tournament will take place on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Arizona City Golf Course in Arizona City.

The four-person, best-ball tournament will feature a scramble format and a shotgun start beginning at 7:30 a.m. Registration will take place from 6:30-7:30 a.m. prior to the start of the round.

The cost of the event is $60 per person, $240 for a foursome, and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, range balls and lunch. Net proceeds from the tournament benefit the Central Arizona College women’s basketball program.

This event offers sponsorship opportunities for local businesses and individuals at an affordable price while supporting the Vaquera basketball team. Tee sponsorships are $100 per hole, while a tee sponsorship and foursome package is $340.

In addition to a round of golf and lunch, participants also will have an opportunity to meet the 2008-09 Central Arizona College women’s basketball team. Last year the Vaqueras finished second in the nation at the 2008 National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Championship.
