Mobile On-site Mammography breast cancer screening is coming to town on Jan. 25, sponsored by the city of Maricopa. The service is open to anyone in the community

Faith and family burn ever so bright in Chuck and Connie Simonson. They've raised four children who are prospering in adulthood. They've spent decades together working with families, helping them through the best and worst of times. And now, they're taking their faith and experience to residents in Maricopa in the form of Discover Community Church.

 

 

Arena Sports Grill will put a new spin on karaoke this Friday when it rolls out its new Rock-a-Roke campaign.  

With 2010 just beginning, the Maricopa Public Library has some great new reads to start the year. 

Fresh produce, live music, good eats and Native American culture are all part of the Gila River Farmer's Market. The market, in its first year, is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rawhide.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office and Pinal County Regional DUI Task Force have been awarded $103,220 to fund overtime for DUI enforcement and collision investigation training.

 

 

Christmas bulbs were not the only lights flashing in the streets of Maricopa for three days over the holidays. The Pinal County Sheriff's Office DUI task force stopped 285 vehicles and handed out 35 citations in the city.

The city is looking to pick your brain concerning transit issues. On Jan. 7, Maricopa's development services department will host a public meeting to gauge residents' response to issues such as transit ridership, public needs and other transportation issues.
