“Desert Freedom” placed as tenth wild horse, more on way

    The last of the ten wild horses has been placed in its new home on the northwest corner of West Edison Road and John Wayne Parkway.

    “Maricopa Wild Horses,” an arts initiative by City Manager Rick Horst, consisted of 10 original horses painted by local artists, unveiled on March 18, 2021, have been placed around town in various spots.

    With the tenth horse placed, the city prepares to announce more.

    On February 28, more horses are planned to be announced.
