Four restaurants receive top scores on health inspection

Four of Maricopa’s dining locations – Barro’s Pizza, Mando’s Mexican Food, New Headquarters Café and The Water Boy – received a score of excellent on their March inspections by the Pinal County Health Department.

The department randomly inspects restaurants and other establishments that either serve or sell food products to determine the cleanliness and safeness of these establishments.

Any critical violations must be fixed within 10 days and affect a location’s score. Non-critical violations must be fixed within 90 days. Depending on the number of violations, the department hands the establishment a grade of E – Excellent, S – satisfactory, N – needs improvement or U – unacceptable.

Five Maricopa restaurants received an S grade. Below are those restaurants and reasons for a ding in their grade:

Arena Sports Grill
