Reaching out to home-invasion victim

460

I want to share a story of why I love this city of Maricopa. There are a lot of good people here who care about the city and the people living here.

This past Monday a group of concerned Maricopa citizens took it upon themselves to assist a home-invasion victim in Maricopa.

Mr. Herrera was hospitalized and robbed of all he had, including his groceries. Though the group did not know the gentleman personally, they wanted to help out this fellow Maricopan.

On Sunday, they collected quite a few bags of groceries and as much cash as was stolen from Mr. Herrera and then Monday, representatives from the group delivered the goods and cash to Mr. Herrera.

He was so surprised at the kindness bestowed upon him and was very appreciative. As the representatives left his home he thanked the group again and with a big smile and hope in his eyes as he waved goodbye.
