Local car rental business opens

Maybe you need a car for a few days while yours is in the shop or you don’t have an extra set of wheels for family and friends when they visit.

Until now your only options to rent a car were to go to the Valley or Casa Grande.

Maricopa Resident John Stoll has started a new business that provides a solution.

Stoll recently opened Copa Car Rental behind Barro’s Pizza in the Cobblestone Fiesta business center.

He is not trying to compete with the big franchises like Avis or Enterprise. He said he is a small businessman who saw a need for this type of business in Maricopa.

“I live here and Maricopa needs businesses that are not here yet,” he said. “Most businesses originated from small mom-and-pop businesses and that’s what I came from.”
