Delia Koschmann, an eighth grader at Leading Edge Academy in Maricopa, took third place in the 57th annual Pinal County Spelling Bee.
“We are extremely proud of Delia and her accomplishment as well as how she represented Leading Edge Academy,” Principal Mat Reese said. “Way to go, Delia.”
Each year Leading Edge Academy Maricopa has all students in grades 4 through 8 participate in classroom spelling bees followed by a schoolwide spelling bee. Delia started by winning her classroom spelling bee in January followed by winning the schoolwide spelling bee in early February.
Adam Rasmussen, a seventh grader from Red Rock Elementary, won the Feb. 14 event.
