Maricopa High School senior earns AP award

Maricopa High School senior Meardey Kong was recently notified that she is a recipient of the College Board’s Advanced Placement Program Award as an AP Scholar.

She earned this award as a result of coursework and testing from her junior year. In order to receive this award, a student must score a three or higher on three or more AP exams.

Meardey, the daughter of Nevada Mao, is presently ranked number one in her class at Maricopa High School. Her extra-curricular contributions include the presidency of both Key Club and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America).

After graduation she plans to attend the University of Arizona and major in pharmacy.
