Maricopa High School vandalized extensively over weekend

The Maricopa Police Department, in conjunction with the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, investigated a commercial burglary/ aggravated criminal damage incident that occurred at Maricopa High School, 45012 W. Honeycutt Rd, on Dec. 10.

The incident occurred sometime between the hours of 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 9 and 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 10. Access was made into the school cafeteria where subjects committed acts of vandalism and caused an extensive amount of damage.

In addition, several areas inside the cafeteria, as well as exterior doors and walls, were spray painted with what appears to be gang-related graffiti.
