MLL registration closes; pitch, hit, run Wednesday

On Wednesday, registration for junior and senior baseball and softball players in the Maricopa Little League closes out as the league hosts a pitch, hit and run competition for children ages 7 to 14 at 6 p.m. at Pacana Park the same day.

The competition is open to all children, not just Maricopa Little League players. Check-in time is 5:30 p.m. A child’s birth certificate will be needed to validate age.

All players who advance to the next level will compete in Casa Grande Friday.

As for baseball and softball player registration, the cost is $110 for the junior-senior division and the age requirement is 13 to 16.

Registration is completed when the online registration form has been submitted, all required documents (medical release, code of conduct and three proofs of residency) are turned into the player agent and registration fee has been paid.
