Maricopa Youth Football prepares for spring season

Maricopa Youth Football will hold a mini camp-style assessment Saturday at Pacana Park for the upcoming spring eight-man season.

Last-chance registration will be at the park from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

All registered players will be evaluated that day by staff to better allow for more balanced teams. This will also give the coaches a starting point for the teams as this is a short season.

Evaluation for 7- 8-year-old registrants will be from 9 to 11 a.m. and for 9- to 10-year-old registrants from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

That night, the coaches will convene to form the teams. Practice will begin on or after March 17 at the discretion and direction of the coaches. Registrants between the ages of 11 and 12 are not required to attend evaluations, but are welcome to participate.
