Two late goals by Maricopa lifted the Rams’ boys’ soccer team to its second straight victory, 2-1, at Casa Grande on Tuesday.

After slipping behind in the second half, a goal by Lennard Brilling, with an assist from Christian Ramirez, knotted the score. Ramirez then tallied with help from Devin Clayburn to push Maricopa’s record to 2-0.

“The boys fell behind late in the second half but rallied to get the last two goals and win the game,” head coach Cortney Kellenaers said. “These boys are fighters and refuse to lose when winning is possible.”

The Rams are back on the road Friday, visiting Mountain Pointe at 6 p.m. They then travel to Coronado Saturday , also at 6 p.m.
