Team Province, members and friends from the Province Bike Club, will be holding a fundraising night at Native New Yorker on Monday, Oct. 27.

That evening Native New Yorker will donate 20 percent of guests’ total bills to Team Province. The funds will go toward the money they are raising for the annual Tour De Cure American Diabetes Association ride, which will be held this year on March 14.

“The fundraising goal for this year is $5,000 in donations for the diabetes association,” said team captain Keith Monk.

Team Province hopes to enter 10 riders in the Tour de Cure this year, participating in both the 35 and 62.5 mile routes. The team trains for the event by riding on weekends and in various charitable rides. On Sunday, Oct. 12, Team Province was part of the Ride for Sight to help purchase eyeglasses for children in need.

Team Province invites Maricopans, their families, friends and neighbors to dine at Native New Yorker Monday. “Let’s raise money for the Tour de Cure,” said Monk.
