New Digital Phone Service offers unlimited local and long distance

Just as Cable TV and High Speed Internet changed the way people view television and use a computer, Orbitel Communications’ new Digital Phone Service will change the way Maricopa residents use their telephones — they may never stop talking!

For one low monthly rate, as little as $34.95, Orbitel Communications Digital Phone Service has unlimited local and long distance calls to all 50 United States, Canada, and even to exotic Caribbean locales such as Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and the US Virgin Islands. Using a person’s telephones, and in-home wiring, the calls are carried over Orbitel’s fiber optic network.

Customers have the choice to transfer their existing number over to the Orbitel Digital Phone Service or to establish a new phone number with Orbitel. The low monthly fee includes an array of popular, and customer expected, features such as caller ID, call waiting, call forwarding, three-way calling and voicemail. Now through March 31, Orbitel is offering free in-home installation, normally a $99.95 charge.

Unique to the Orbitel Digital Phone Service is their “Phoenix can be Free” option. All Orbitel Digital Phone customers are assigned a 520 area code number. For a small additional charge, Orbitel can also assign their customer a 602 area code phone number as well, so callers from Phoenix to them pay no long distance charges. “This is especially valued by our customers with family and friends living or working in the Phoenix area, which under traditional phone service is a toll call to reach Maricopa,” said Orbitel Communications President Keith Kirkman. “It’s nice to say to your friends in the Phoenix communities ‘Call us anytime – it’s Free!'”

Orbitel Communications is a Maricopa company with offices at Bashas’ Shopping Center. Digital Phone is only available to Orbitel wired residential areas. “Because we provide our basic service to our customers on a discounted bulk rate through their Home Owners Association, our customers can purchase expanded cable TV, High Speed Internet and Digital Phone from Orbitel directly for less than $99 per month,” said Kirkman. “We think everyone is entitled to fast, reliable, affordable cable TV, Internet and phone services.
