From MCE

Who is Ro Hovell and why is her face on the walls at Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship?

Gary Zamont is a small, unassuming man. He walks around Maricopa in a white T-shirt and overalls.

But when he paints, he paints big.  I mean really BIG! I mean like he makes his own four-foot by six-foot canvases and he paints BIG pictures on them.

And he like to paint Ro. She is his “muse.”

You might not like Gary’s paintings of Ro. In fact, I guarantee you will NOT like some of the paintings of Ro. But everyone who comes into MCE and looks at Gary’s paintings of Ro will find at least one that they like.  I’ve got a few favorites.

The other thing I find interesting about Gary is that he tries different styles of painting.  One of the paintings of Ro is definitely in the cubist style of Picasso, another in the style of George Rodrigue, and another . . . you’re just going to have to come see for yourself.

So after you done with the excitement of the Fourth, come by MCE on Wednesday night July 6 at 6 o’clock at meet Ro – all of them.

Here’s the details – Artist Reception for Gary Zamont. Wednesday, July 6, at 6 p.m. at MCE – Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship, 20800 N John Wayne Parkway, Suite 108 – next to Little Caesars.

Check out the paintings of Ro, sip some Arizona wine, and have an appetizer or dessert. (It’s a gallery, of course we’ll have wine and cheese. We’re real highbrow in Maricopa.)
