October single-family residence building permits lowest in city’s history

50

The city of Maricopa issued a record low 25 single-family residence building permits in October.

It is the lowest single-family residence building permit total since the inception of the city and marks the third month of consecutive lows.

In September the city issued 35 single-family residence permits while in August it issued 55.

So far this fiscal year the city is averaging 54 of these permits a month.

This number is a drastic decline from the 2007-2008 fiscal year in which the city averaged 133 permits and the 2006-2007 fiscal year in which the city averaged 223 permits.

Historically, the next three months (November through January) tend to show slow downs in the number of single-family residence permits issued.
