Papa Murphy’s pizza coming to Maricopa

Papa Murphy’s, a “take and bake” pizza restaurant, will soon be opening on North John Wayne Parkway near the Bashas’ Food Store.

Franchise owner Jason Nelson said the store will have a “soft opening” around 4 p.m. on Nov. 14.

Pizzas are made to order at Papa Murphy’s, but the customers take home the pizzas to bake them.

“They are made fresh in front of your eyes,” Nelson said. “We use the freshest ingredients. We do not freeze anything.”

Because they are not baked at the store, Nelson said, the pizzas are offered at a lower price and the customers can bake them however and whenever they want to.

Nelson was raised in Alaska, where his parents own three Papa Murphy’s.
