Two women and a man were taken to Chandler Regional Medical Center Wednesday afternoon for minor injuries after a crash within a parking lot near the intersection of John Wayne Parkway and Smith-Enke Road.
The crash took place around 4:15 p.m. near Walgreens on the intersection’s northwest corner and involved a silver PT Cruiser and a charcoal Nissan Altima. Police said the Nissan was turning right from Smith-Enke Road into the parking lot. The PT Cruiser was driving within the lot when the crash occurred.
Police did not immediately know what caused the crash.
The two women and man taken to the hospital were in the PT Cruiser. Police said their injuries were not serious, but the individuals were shaken up.
A woman driving the Altima was not injured.
Police said neither driver was cited because the crash occurred on private property.
