Maricopa Unified School District’s governing board meets Wednesday at 5 p.m. for a study session on its goals as well as both a vision and mission statement.

At 6 p.m., during the regular session also held in Room 1 at the high school, the board will set dates for future goal development and strategic planning meetings.

Michael Muriett will present a report and update on the Before and After School Program, including enrollment figures and staffing requirements.

The board will also discuss its 2008 Arizona School Board Association (ASBA) legislative priorities.

In personnel matters the board will be asked to approve approximately 95 extra duty stipends for ELL, special education, department heads, fall sports and co-curricular activities.

High school tennis for boys and girls will be a new program this year if the board approves it at Wednesday’s meeting.
