With the addition of Santa Cruz Elementary School at Tortosa in the fall, an elementary school at the Villages slated to open the following year and the expansion of the high school site (see related story), there is no doubt that Maricopa Unified School District needs additional staff members.

On Saturday a Career Fair will be held at Maricopa Elementary School (at Alterra) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. “We will be hosting this job fair for all types of positions, classified and certified,” explained MES Principal Bonnie Gibson.

District staff members will be available to answer questions about the various positions, as well as to provide applications. Preliminary interviews for certified staff will be conducted on site that day.

Maricopa area residents have the opportunity to become part of a rapidly growing school district.

What types of jobs are available?

Certified employees: elementary, middle school and high school teachers; exceptional student services teachers

Classified employees: maintenance and operations, custodial, nursing, food service, clerical, transportation

Tell your relatives and friends about this opportunity to become part of Maricopa’s ever-expanding educational future.
