Taylor Moore of Edmond, Okla., held on to his second-round lead, shooting 70 in the final round Sunday in the inaugural Saguaro Amateur golf tournament at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.

Moore finished at 201 (-11) and won by three shots over Trevor Simsby and AJ McInerney. Moore finished third at last week’s Patriot All-America at Wigwam Golf Club.

“I came off a solid week last week at the Patriot and I felt like I was ready to win,” Moore said. “I played solid. I tried to hit it in the middle of the greens all week and give myself some birdie looks."

The Saguaro Amateur consisted of 108 players from around the world. The second Saguaro will be back at Southern Dunes Jan. 2-4, 2015.
