Repaving on SR 347 to begin May 1

The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin a pavement rehabilitation project May 1 on State Route 347, the North John Wayne Parkway, between Papago and Edison roads.

The project is expected to last about two months and is anticipated to be completed in July.

The $2.5 million project includes removing the existing top asphalt layer and repaving the roadway with new asphalt. In addition, new pavement markers and updated signage will be included in the project.

Crews will be paving SR 347 through the month of May. In early July, crews will add final striping to the roadway.
