The Treasure Chest Thrift Store has opened in the Maricopa Manor Business Center in the space formerly occupied by Desert Sun Performing Arts.
The dance school moved recently into a larger space in the business center at North John Wayne Parkway and Garvey Avenue.
Richard Rovner owns the store, which opened nearly two weeks ago, with his wife Melissa. The couple also own the Puppy Love Pet Stylist next door to the new thrift store.
Rovner said opening a thrift store is something he had been thinking about for a while. Then, when the dance studio moved, opportunity knocked.
