Fuel cleanup on SR 347 Wednesday

Due to a fuel spill from an overturned semi-truck last weekend, the Arizona Department of Transportation will close one southbound lane of SR 347 (Maricopa Road) approximately half-a-mile north of Maricopa (milepost 175) from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

What to expect during the lane closure:

 §         One southbound lane will remain open at all times.

§         Northbound traffic will not be affected

§         Signage will direct motorists through the work zone. 

§         Drivers can expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

The cleanup project schedule is subject to change due to a variety of reasons, including weather, material availability and mechanical difficulties.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
