Get ready to play ball.

The city today announced that Lake View Park, located at 22240 North Powers Parkway West, will open to the public this weekend.

The park features two youth-sized baseball fields, a playground area, a pair of shaded ramadas, and picnic tables.

The announcement follows the installation of a new crosswalk that was completed yesterday.

The official grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m., March 16.
