POLLING RESULTS - Labor Day — As of 1 p.m. Friday, 123 people answered our informal poll.

With a three-day holiday weekend coming our way, InMaricopa’s weekly poll was themed around Labor Day. We wanted to know how you plan to celebrate.

As of 1 p.m. Friday, 123 people answered our informal poll, which asked: What are your Labor Day weekend plans?

About 70% of voters said they were planning to stay home, 9% were opting for a weekend getaway, 7% will get together with friends/family, 6% were cooking up a barbecue or pool party, and 8% were still working on a plan.

In a Facebook post promoting the poll, readers shared their plans – or lack thereof.

“We are going hiking – from the bedroom to the kitchen to the sofa & back again,” Jean McCormick Brown commented. “It’s a holiday weekend, the last place I want to be is on the roads.”

“Going hiking somewhere cooler,” Lee Morano said.

Julia Chavarria wrote, “Home so I don’t get covid19.”
