The public is invited to meet the three finalists for Maricopa’s city manager job and hear their visions for the city 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 39700 W. Civic Center Plaza, according to a press release.

They are Gregory Rose, Sandra Wilson and Trisha Sorensen, who has been interim city manager since Brenda Fischer became the Glendale city manager in July. Six candidates were interviewed Monday by city council members, city department heads and community stakeholders.

The Sacramento-based recruitment firm CPS HR Consulting conducted a nationwide search for the city’s top post.

Rose is the principal agent of Rose and Associates, which provides consulting services to local governments, not-for-profits and private companies in performance management, strategic planning, organizational design, budgeting and forecasting.

Wilson, deputy county manager of Maricopa County, joined the county as the budget manager in February 1993. She also has been budget director and chief resource officer. She has held her current position since 1998.

As city of Maricopa’s interim city manager, Sorensen oversees nine departments. She has experience in public administration including budgeting, community development, strategic planning, organizational development, intergovernmental relations, community relations, labor relations, capital project management, communications and employee relations.
