Council meeting Thursday to consider city manager appointment

The Maricopa City Council will convene a special meeting on Thursday, April 7, to consider offering an employment agreement to Brenda Fischer to serve as the new city manager.

The meeting will take place at 6 p.m., at the Maricopa Unified School District Administration Building, located at 44150 W. Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway.

Ms. Fischer is currently Deputy City Manager in Glendora, Calif. She holds a Masters in Public Administration degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and has been serving the public in various capacities for over 16 years.

She is a credentialed member of the International City/County Management Association as well as a member of several notable organizations. Ms. Fischer brings with her vast experience in public administration, intergovernmental relations, communications and employee relations.
